Fresh from the success of Mabining Mandirigma, Tanghalang Pilipino is back at it again with another timely tale of 'Katsuri', a story about friendship and survival among two farmers.

This drama was based on the John Steinbeck classic “Of Mice and Men". The production is adapted and directed by the brilliant writer-producer, husband-wife combo of Bibeth Orteza and Carlos Siguion Reyna.

Toto and George

The story follows two sugar plantation farmers and their daily fight for survival as their job takes a toll on their lives and spirits, including their families and friendships.

Two of the Tanghalang Pilipino's Actors' Company seasoned members will play the lead roles of the drama.  Toto will be played by Jonathan Tadioan and the character George will be played by Marco Viaña.

“The play tackles the timely topic of inequality, known but often overlooked.”

- TP Artistic Director Nanding Josef.

Nanding Josef hopes that through Katsuri, people will find their way back to compassion and empathy and develop genuine concern for their fellow Filipinos, like Toto and George.
